Access to Justice Project
The Family Helpline in Afghanistan launched in 2013. The helpline provides free counseling and referrals to local social services. Authorized by the Government of Afghanistan, the helpline addresses the advice and counseling needs of callers throughout the country.
The response from the Afghan population has been tremendous with over 50,000 calls from January 2012 to December 2015. The Family Helpline team consists of psychologists, attorneys, defense lawyers, social workers, volunteers, supporters and junior associates from the Law Faculties of Afghanistan. To call the helpline and speak to these specialists simply dial 6464.
Women’s Capacity Enhancement Project
Capacity improvement training on VAWG (violence against women and girls) by updating government leaderships in key ministries on the protection needs of women and girls throughout Afghanistan.


Women Skills Development Project
Working closely with Afghan women artesian to improve quality of their products and find a niche in the international market.
Research and Development Project
ACDEO carries out research and development projects to strengthen communication, research and development of women’s and children’s rights.
In partnership with the London School of Economics, ACDEO is producing a research and development project on women’s and children’s rights. The project is based on data collected through the Family Helpline Project.

Established Afghanistan’s first family hotline, the family support Hotline (6464, toll-free number)

Counselling
Helped more than 70,000 families through legal advice and counselling.

Health
Connected more than 2,000 callers with ground-based providers of legal, protection and health services.

Women's Rights
Improved community perceptions of children and women’s rights.
